Real Wedding :: Me!

I got married in August 2009. Our venue had a beautiful big in-ground fire pit, so we of course offered s'mores to our guests, not as favors, but as a stay and make them with us kinda thing. We had 3 baskets of s'mores in cello bags with stickers sitting around the fire and marshmallow sticks ready to use. We had put on our wedding programs "please stick around after the reception for a bonfire & s'mores roast!" We were up roasting s'mores until 1:30am! It was an amazing & memorable night! {Our wedding colors were Pink, Orange & Brown. Sweet Favor Boxes

What is the best favor to offer your guests?
I'm not sure if there has even been any real studies on this, but I'm going to go with something edible! Who doesn't like a sweet treat to take home to enjoy later, or for the people that just can't wait, an extra sweet treat to enjoy at the event!

When offering your guests edibles having an appropriate container to hold them in is important! Also something stylish that matches your color scheme is just as important, if not more! Right!?

Real Wedding Feature :: Amanda + John

We love gorgeous weddings! We also love gorgeous weddings that we've had a small part in.

Amanda & John got married May 12, 2012 at Mountain Winery in Saratog, California. From the photos that Nicole Paulson took, the whole day looked breathtaking. There was not a single detail that was overlooked. 

We created Amanda & John's wedding menus, a detail that they didn't miss!

They choose our 5x7 menu in our Abstract design and customized it to fit exactly what they were needing. Everything sounded delicious!

With a menu like that, I wish we were invited! - simply beautiful.

Real Wedding Feature :: Flashback

MonogramWedding.com has been around for 4 years! Over those years we've had part in helping create countless numbers of beautiful paper goods for weddings & special events!
Since we've just started blogging we have a little catching up to do... Since we're in the heart of wedding season we thought we'd start off by showcasing a wedding that created one of a kind favors and place cards using our website!

Chris & Elise got married at the the beautiful Aspen Lakes Golf Club in Sisters, Oregon. They really thought out of the box {pun intended!} and created a beautiful timeless event that still two summers later is still being talked about! They used a gorgeous palette of teals and browns with natural earthy elements and wild flowers, so much attention to detail but keeping the feel of effortless, doesn't get any better than that!

Bridal Shower :: Inspiration

Yesterday, I attended my first bridal shower of summer wedding season. It was for my cousin-in-law who is getting married June 30th. We made her custom wedding invitations {more on those later} and her custom shower invites, pictured below::

It was a beautiful shower full of some fun girl time! It started at 4, so the food was light, but delicious! The menu included single-serve veggie cups with ranch (LOVE THESE, such a good idea) homemade jalapeno poppers wrapped in bacon, smoked tri-tip, sliced baguette, and a delicious feta dip. Drinks were a raspberry champagne punch and sparkling cider. The dessert offering was perfect & yummy; chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, heart shape sugar cookies with the bride and grooms initials, and adorable wedding dress cookies in a celo bags to take home for later, simply adorable! & since I forgot my camera, below are some inspiring images of food similar to what was served.
