Real Wedding :: Courtney & Jason

Courtney & Jason got married June 30, 2012 outside at Shady Oaks Farm in Cottage Grove, Oregon. {see Courtney's bridal shower here} If anyone knows Oregon in June you'll know that the weather is not dependable, and unfortunately while wedding setup was taking place, it poured. It was pretty stressful trying to decide what to do - but rain or shine, the wedding must go on! The wedding was set for 6 o'clock and around 5 the weather cleared up and even a hint of sunshine came out and the stressful morning turned into a beautiful afternoon for a wedding!

I had the pleasure of creating Courtney & Jason's wedding invitations and helping set up decor on their wedding day. Courtney is very classic/rustic-chic/vintage-antique/timeless. Her wedding colors were gray & yellow with natural elements of burlap, wood, and wildflowers. The wedding was exactly Courtney (& Jason).

The Invites

For their invites they choose a natural linen paper with gray and yellow ink. The set was wrapped in a doily with a burlap band, held closed with a petite yellow ribbon with a custom monogrammed tag hanging down, tied with a bow. Everything matched the event theme perfectly and the invites set the tone for what guests could expect at the wedding. This invite set was a custom order with rounded corners & additional embellishments.

The Ceremony

The ceremony was sweet & personal, Courtney's brother Nick officiated. The isle was lined with mason jars hanging from shepherds hooks wrapped in burlap and ribbon. The backdrop was a beautiful clematis covered arbor with a backdrop of burlap.

{The centerpieces were an eclectic mix of old vases and bottles filled with a beautiful mix of flowers all stacked on and around a wood round on a burlap square that was overlapping a gray tablecloth}
{I love this picture - totally captured the fun moment of smashing cake into the grooms face}
{instead of a traditional wedding cake, Courtney & Jason offered guests a full range of sweets including cupcakes, cookies, brownies, bars, and cheesecake all displayed on a mix of new and old cake plates & platters. It was a beautiful set up - & delicious! (I think I had one of everything!)}

The day may have started off rainy, but in the end you couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. The wedding was beautiful and Courtney & Jason got to celebrate their love with family and friends. Congratulations C&J - I'm so happy that I was able to be a part of this special event! Wishing you guys all the happiness in the world!
